About Le Fil
Le Fil is a Brooklyn-based needlepoint studio built around thoughtful design, high-quality tools, and a slower, more intentional approach to craft. We recently opened our first space in Los Angeles, Petit Le Fil, as we grow our community and order volume. This internship is a chance to learn the operational backbone of a growing craft business from the inside.
The Role
As an Ecommerce Operations Intern, you will support the systems that bring our products to life online. You will help set up products in Shopify, keep the site merchandised and accurate, contribute to email and social media efforts, and pull basic reporting. This is a fully remote, detail-driven role for someone who is curious about how a small business works behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
- Support product setup for launches, including descriptions, pricing, imagery, linking, and tagging
- Assist with product uploads, edits, and catalog organization, including bulk imports
- Help maintain day-to-day site merchandising, including navigational menus and search campaigns
- Perform regular QA checks of product pages, category pages, search, and navigation to ensure a seamless experience
- Execute price markdowns, sale tagging, and site content refreshes for promotions
- Draft and send email marketing campaigns
- Support social media content, including drafting captions and scheduling posts
- Pull weekly traffic and search term reports
- Maintain organized records, spreadsheets, and operational documentation
- Support ad hoc projects across e-commerce operations
Qualifications
- Needlepoint experience or genuine interest in the craft
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable with repetitive, precision-based work and data entry
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms a plus
- Strong written communication for email and social media
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage your own time remotely
- Positive, can-do attitude, with no task considered too small
Compensation
This is a paid internship. Eligible for academic credit where the student's school allows.
