About Le Fil
Le Fil is a Brooklyn-based needlepoint studio built around thoughtful design, high-quality tools, and a slower, more intentional approach to craft. As we grow, we are opening our first space in Los Angeles, Petit Le Fil, to better serve our community and support our expanding order volume.
This role is an opportunity to be part of an early chapter of Le Fil in LA. It is a hybrid position combining e-commerce fulfillment and in-store customer experience, with fulfillment making up a significant portion of the day-to-day work.
The Role
As a Retail Operations Associate at Petit Le Fil, you will support both our in-store experience and our e-commerce operations. You will guide customers through canvases, threads, and projects with care and confidence, while also ensuring orders are packed, kitted, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves needlepoint, enjoys helping others, and values detail and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, pack, and ship e-commerce orders with accuracy and care
- Kit canvases and threads according to order details
- Maintain organized inventory and packing areas
- Assist customers with canvas selection, threads, and basic project guidance
- Create a warm, thoughtful in-store experience
- Process in-store sales using Shopify POS
- Receive, unpack, and restock inventory
- Support in-store events and community moments as needed
Qualifications
- Prior needlepoint experience required
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable with repetitive, precision-based work
- Customer-facing or retail experience preferred
- Reliable, self-directed, and calm under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Hands-on and team-oriented, with no task considered too small
