What does each canvas include?
Every canvas is hand-painted or precision-printed (as noted on each product page) and arrives unstitched, ready to make your own. Each canvas includes a Tulip tapestry needle for an easy stitching experience. Threads and tools can be purchased separately or kitted professionally by our team.

Do you sell full kits?
Select canvases are available as complete kits, including threads and accessories. Kits will be noted as such in the product title and description.

What happens if I don’t complete my thread invoice?
If you choose to have your canvas kitted with threads, we’ll send a separate invoice for your selections once your order is reviewed. If the invoice isn’t completed within five business days, your order will ship without threads to avoid delays. You’re always welcome to purchase threads separately at a later date if you’d still like help with kitting.

Can I request a custom design?
We’re open to special projects and collaborations. Please email hello@lefilstudio.com with your idea — include size, theme, and deadline, and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

How can I stay updated on restocks or new drops?
Join our email list or follow us on Instagram and TikTok @lefilneedlepoint for restocks, new releases, and upcoming events.

Threads & Materials

Which threads should I use?
We primarily use Pepper Pot Silk, Essentials, and other high-quality specialty fibers such as Fyre Werks — all available through The Studio. Reach out anytime for tailored recommendations.

If a thread recommendation is listed, can I substitute another brand?
Yes. Just ensure the ply matches your mesh count (13 or 18). If you’re unsure, reach out — we’re more than happy to help.

Finishing Services

Do you offer professional finishing?
Yes. Le Fil offers finishing for needlepoint projects of all kinds — ornaments, pillows, clutches, trays, and more. Each piece is finished with premium materials and time-honored techniques to ensure lasting quality and beauty. Reach out to finishing@lefilstudio.com and our team will guide you through every detail.

How does the process work?
Once we receive your stitched canvas, we’ll review every detail — trim or cording, backing, and finish style — before providing a quote and estimated timeline. You’ll receive updates throughout the process; transparency is central to how we work.

Can I send in a canvas I didn’t buy from Le Fil?
Absolutely. We’re happy to finish any stitched piece, regardless of where it's from.

How long does finishing take?
Turnaround times depend on complexity and workload, typically 6–10 weeks. We’ll share a timeline once your piece arrives.

Education & Stitch Club

Do you offer classes or tutorials?
Yes. We publish written guides and video tutorials on our Substack, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with Stitch Club meet-ups and retreats coming soon.

What will Stitch Club include?
Monthly small-group sessions focused on community and conversation — held virtually and in person.

What’s a Stitch Retreat?
A multi-day gathering combining instruction, design, and connection — hosted in beautiful, inspiring settings. Details will be announced via our Substack and email newsletter.

Shipping & Returns

Where do you ship?
We ship domestically and worldwide, with all orders processed within 3 business days and sent via insured carriers. During high-volume periods — such as launches and holidays — processing times may be slightly longer.

How long will my order take?
Most in-stock orders ship within 3 business days. Canvases that require kitting, as well as custom or preorder items, may take longer — estimated timelines are listed on each product page.

Do you accept returns?
Due to the hand-painted and bespoke nature of our products, all canvases, threads, and finishing services are final sale. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact hello@lefilstudio.com within seven days so we can make it right.

Wholesale & Partnerships

Do you offer wholesale or trunk shows?
We’re currently accepting new wholesale partnerships with select designers that share our commitment to craft, quality, and design. Our exclusive Le Fil line will remain available only through our own channels.

Le Fil also collaborates with independent designers and artists through our artists in residence program, our designer partnership initiative featuring exclusive canvases created solely for Le Fil.
